Living on my own

So my parents and brother decided to fly out to Manitoba for a week so I get to taste what it feels like to live on my own. I know I've stayed home alone before. Like this past March when they decided to go to South Carolina and I figured it was best if I stayed home and worked. I got really lonely that time. So far it hasn't been to bad.
Last night I went over to the neighbours and had supper with them.. it was sort of a kids night since their parents went out. Had a spaghetti supper with garlic bread.. and ice cream for dessert. Then we went downstais and played PS2 for a bit. I fianally was brave enough to try a game. I forget what it was called but it was a racing game. I usually SUCK at racing games. Its so differnt from driving a real car. Anyhow.. I managed to do well. Then again.. the races that I played were these crashing ones.. you have to hit all the other cars with arrows above them.. maybe thats why I did good.. lol. I came home just in time to see the last 20 mins or so of 1 vs 100. It is a new tv game show hosted by Bob Saget. Its pretty cool. I like it anyway.

Today I had to work.. Yuck. I really dislike working on Saturdays. No1 knows what they are doing.. and none of the students put on any coffee. I was really glad that I was working with this one girl Katie who acctually knew what she was doing. She is really shy and quiet. But she was asked to go to drive thru leaving me to work on my own which I didn't mind. Then I was asked to switch possitions with Nicole.. So off I went to my favourite spot Soup and Sandwhich.. (yeah right..thats so not my favourite spot.. I absolutely hate that spot) but anyway..today was pretty good since I was working with Kim.. who totally rocks at it. It was horrible cuz no1 was punching the right things into the till and we kept on having to yell at them to make sure they check what they are punching in.. but they don't listen. We ended up running out of a whole bunch of things.. but the bakers don't seem to care.

Since no1 is home I come online a lot, but no1 is really on which sucks cuz I am totally bored..(you can tell by how long this post is) I also transformed the kitchen table into my scrapbooking territory. I dont have to clean it up till Thursday night.. What joy! I finished off a page that i was working on yesterday and did another page this afternoon. I might do some more later..as I want to finish up the confernece pics and then get on to either my Thanksgiving weekend pics or pics of the weekend before at my sister's house of my niece and nephew. Tonight I'm gonna cheer on them Leafs.. Was sad when I heard the news of Raycroft.. Hopefully he'll be playing again soon.

Oh yeah.. I had an extremely quick funeral for a mouse. He or she was caught in a trap so I had to go bring it outside.. yuck!!! My mom told me that we have a mouse in the trap just about every morning.. Oh joy.. I will be an expert on setting traps by the end of this week if it keeps on. Just as long as they stay out of the house I'm ok..they have all been in the mud room/freezer room which just has a cement floor. It connects the house to the garage and we don't really go in that room very much anyway.

My mom e-mailed me today which was nice to hear from them. The reason they went to Manitoba was my Grandmother was in the hospital..or still is.. Well she is in..um..whats that word.. I dunno.. but she needs care for her since she is 89 years old. And she still lives on her own..or will be moving back into her house like the day after my parents and brother return back home. She forgot a lot of things.. and when my aunt found her one day..she had fallen in the basement and said she was looking for the boys and said they were going to be late for school.. boys meaning my dad and his brother.. I guess she thought they were young. It was scary when we heard. Then she ended up in the hospital and has been there since. Its been about a month or a lil bit longer. Praise God that she is doing much better!!!

I can't think of anything else to say..except my fingers and the my legs are FREEZING...brr so I am going to go downstairs and enjoy the fire I made in the woodstove..
